Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Teammobile.io ("Teammobile.io," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you use the DicToc mobile application ("DicToc" or the "App"), a service that helps users learn Korean through K-pop song lyrics.

1. Information We Collect

a) Account information

You can sign in with Google, Apple, Kakao, or LINE. Depending on the authentication provider and the permissions you grant, we may receive information such as your name, email address, profile image, and a provider-specific user identifier, through Firebase Authentication. We also assign an internal Firebase user ID (UID) to your account, which is used to associate your data across our services. If you use the App as a guest, we do not collect account information through an authentication provider. However, certain device, usage, advertising, and technical information may still be processed as described below.

b) Profile information you provide

During onboarding or in your profile settings, you may provide a nickname, nationality, gender, interests, and a short bio. This information is stored in our database (Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore) and is used to personalize your experience.

c) Photos you choose to upload

If you choose to set a profile photo, the image is uploaded and stored using Google Firebase Cloud Storage, associated with your account. You can replace or delete your profile photo at any time in Profile settings.

d) User content and activity

• Favorite songs and play history (which songs and learning modes you use)
• Saved/edited lyrics you create in the app
• Messages you send to our AI chat assistant ("Luna") and to other users in in-app chat, including sender/recipient identifiers and, for chat participants, nickname and profile photo
• Text you choose to translate in the app (see "AI and Translation Features" below)

e) Automatically collected information

• Technical information such as IP address, device information, app version, Firebase user identifiers, and push notification (FCM) tokens, which may be processed when the App communicates with our backend services (Firebase Cloud Functions)
• Advertising and technical information — such as advertising identifiers, device identifiers, IP address, ad interaction data, app interaction data, performance information, and diagnostic information — may be collected by Google AdMob for advertising, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. Not all data types are collected in every case; this depends on your device, region, and ad settings (see Section 3)

f) AI and Translation Features

When you chat with our AI assistant, your messages (and, if provided, your nickname and stated interests) are sent to our backend (Firebase Cloud Functions) and processed by Anthropic (Claude AI) to generate a reply. When you use in-app translation, the text you translate is sent to DeepL via our backend, or — if that is unavailable — directly from your device to the MyMemory Translation API, to generate the translated text. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in chat or translation text.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain DicToc's core features (lyrics learning modes, favorites, play history, AI chat, user-to-user chat)
• Personalize content and recommendations based on your stated interests
• Send push notifications related to the app
• Display and measure advertising through Google AdMob
• Maintain the security of the app and prevent abuse
• Respond to support requests sent to contact@teammobile.io

3. Third-Party Services

DicToc uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging — policies.google.com/privacy
• Google AdMob (advertising) — policies.google.com/technologies/ads
• Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Kakao Login, LINE Login — used only for authentication; we do not receive your password from these providers
• YouTube (embedded video playback for song content) — Google's Privacy Policy and YouTube's Terms of Service apply to embedded video playback
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes the messages you send to our in-app AI chat assistant — anthropic.com/legal/privacy
• DeepL and MyMemory Translation — process text you choose to translate in the app
• MahoCast (partner content page) — the "MahoCast" tab loads a partner web page inside the app; your interactions on that page are subject to the partner site's own privacy policy

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share or disclose information:

• with other users when you use user-to-user chat or other social features (such as your nickname, profile photo, and messages);
• with the third-party service providers listed in Section 3 as necessary to provide the App;
• with AI and translation service providers when you choose to use those features;
• when required by applicable law or legal process.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain account information, profile information, uploaded profile photos, favorites, play history, and other account-associated content while your account remains active, unless a shorter retention period applies.

Chat messages and AI chat history may be retained as necessary to provide the relevant features and maintain service security.

Technical logs and service-related records may be retained for a limited period for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and legal compliance.

You can delete your account in the App through Profile > Delete Account, which removes your sign-in credentials. To request deletion of other personal data associated with your account (such as profile information, favorites, play history, uploaded photos, and chat history), please contact us at contact@teammobile.io. If you cannot access the App, you may also request account and data deletion through our account deletion page at teammobile.io/dictoc/delete-account.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These measures include secure network communications, authentication mechanisms, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

DicToc is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law; for example, under 14 in South Korea), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@teammobile.io so we can delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to withdraw consent. You can manage most of this directly in the app (Profile settings, Delete Account) or by contacting us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
